THE LOANING OF CAMERAS & EQUIPMENT

CAMERA LOAN AGREEMENT

Yorktown High School has a very limited supply of cameras to loan to students enrolled in one of the many photography classes. Therefore, in order to ensure that every student that is in need of a camera will have an equal and fair opportunity to obtain one, a STRICT loan system has been adopted and it is expected that every student will comply or risk losing the privilege of using our cameras.

The guidelines for loaner cameras are as follows:

• Cameras are to be checked out after school, on a “first come, first served basis,” by Mr. Beland or Mr. Trueheart until 3:30pm in room A-162.
• There is a two day check out period.
• The camera must be returned to Mr. Beland, in room A-162 BEFORE 1ST period on the day that it is due. Even if the student is out of school on this day, the camera must be returned.
• If you lose the camera, you are responsible for replacing the camera with a comparable camera or repaying the photo department $300.oo.
• If the camera is damaged in any way while it is in your possession, YOU are responsible for the cost of repair.

REMEMBER, ONCE THE CAMERA LEAVES THE ROOM, IT BECOMES YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

All cameras that I check out have been thoroughly checked over, free of faults and are ready to be used by the student. I will not accept the excuse, “but the camera was like this when I checked it out.”

In order to be fair to every student, no exceptions can be made to these guidelines. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience that this may cause to the student and parent/guardian.

I sincerely hope that we all have a great year in photo!
We, the undersigned, have read and agree to all of the above guidelines governing the loaning of cameras.
