Ryan Carroll won the 2012 grand prize at Congressman Moran's annual Congressional Art Show for his photo. His photo will hang in the US Capitol ( in the long foot tunnel connecting the U.S. Capitol with the Cannon House Office Building) for one year. All of the works would be displayed alphabetical by state, meaning Carroll's would be near one end of the tunnel and much more likely to capture the attention of passersby. Congressman Moran selected Ryan's photo from all of the art submitted from each of the schools in Congressman Moran's district (Arlington County and Alexandria County, both public and private) . The award ceremony was held last night, 17th of May, at the Artisphere in Rosslyn. The show will be up for a month and then his image will be transported to the US Capitol. Ryan will have a personal meeting with Congressman Moran later this month. And, finally, a story about this will run in next Sunday's (20th of May) Washington Post.

Out of all of the awards given lat night, Arlington County Schools placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
